VERITAS coordinates with different NGO’s and companies to offer Internship and Service Learning Opportunities. Students who would like to experience the labor environment in Costa Rica can apply during their Junior or Senior year to work for 3 to 6 months in a project related to their field of study.

Internships are not remunerated

The company and a VERITAS faculty member will evaluate interns during and at the end of the placement in order to obtain university credits. By the end of the internship the intern will have to do a presentation about the experience outcome.

The main objective of the program is to promote the cultural and professional exchange among Costa Rican companies and international students. Students can apply for the Internship program from February through November

Costa Rica is well known for its conservation efforts and its high literacy level. Students who would like to add a Service Learning component to their Spanish studies or Study Abroad experience can collaborate in meaningful community service at public schools, NGO´s who work with marginal communities or at one of Costa Rica´s National Park projects.
