Homestay With Costa Rican Families:
UVERITAS has many families with whom we have worked for several years. In choosing new families, UVERITAS staff personally interviews each family and visits their home to ensure that the accommodations meet our standards. A criterion that is evaluated includes: location in relation to the university and the general neighborhood environment, the overall appearance, cleanliness, and size of the home, and student accommodations and living space. Most importantly, VERITAS considers the family's motivation for wanting to host foreign students. Students will be provided their own private room and breakfast and dinner daily, 7 days per week. Laundry service is provided once a week. Students can purchase full lunch for about 3.75 dollars on Campus throughout the week. All families live walking distance (less than 1.5 kilometers) from campus; however, Veritas has a Shuttle system that goes back and forth to the neighborhood for students who have evening classes.
If you want to stay with a host family please specify it on the application and fill out the housing form. Monthly fee for the Homestay program is $565 Contact the CPI office if you have more questions about the Homestay program.

There are two different PRIVATELY OWNED RESIDENCES (dorm style) very nearby the university.
